About

Our History

NNCC was named Nano Nagle to honor the founder of the Presentation Sisters that provided our community with education, growth and spiritual guidance. St. Vincent de Paul School was opened in 1963, two years later, the Presentation Sisters arrived from Ireland to run the school. The sisters served the community until 1994. Nano Nagle Children’s Center opened in February 2009 to provide the families of St. Vincent de Paul School and Parish and the surrounding community with full time child care.

Our Programs

Infant/Toddler Program (6 weeks to 23 months)

Infants play and interact to learn about the world around them. They experience a variety of age-appropriate toys to stimulate their growing minds. We respect each child’s sleeping and eating schedules. Our center has an open door policy and provide each parent with a daily log describing their child’s day. Parents provide diapers, wipes, bottles and baby food.

Two Year-Old Preschool Program

Children discover the world and each other through a developmentally appropriate program. They begin to role model, work together, increase vocabulary and learn social skills. The morning routine includes free play, group time, snack, music and movement, learning centers and outdoor play. Full day program includes lunch, rest time, snack and afternoon activities. Parents provide diapers and wipes until toilet trained.

Three Year-Old Preschool Program

Children flourish as they become more independent learners. We provide activities that support hands-on learning, critical thinking, self-awareness and confidence. The morning routine includes free play, group time, snack, music and movement, learning centers and outdoor play. Full day program includes lunch, rest time, snack and afternoon activities. Students entering this program must be toilet trained.

Our Staff

The teachers at Nano Nagle are dedicated to providing a secure, child-centered learning environment where the children feel accepted and valued. We believe in meeting the spiritual, social, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs of every child we serve. Our daily activities address the children’s individual and developmental needs. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to develop in an enriching, Christian setting. All teachers are CPR, first aid and food handlers certified. They acquire twenty hours of professional development each year through staff meetings, on site trainings and both local and national ECE conferences.   Interested in joining our team?
